First things first.
We want to welcome you to this space, we are so incredibly sorry that you even had to be directed to a website like this, however, we are happy to be the ones who can be here for you. We are a group of moms who can sadly say that we know exactly what you are going through.
Back in April of 2018 with the dynamic spirit of Diane Eisendrath (John's mom) the North County branch of the Umbrella Ministries was born.
We meet once a month for a word of encouragement, to console the unconsolable, we pray with and for each other, we share stories, we share our children. It's a safe haven of open arms and moms who will cry with you, laugh with you, and even eat with you. The meetings are held at Dianes house and something new that our group has decided to do through the kindness and massively big heart of Richard, Diane's husband, there is now a place for the grieving dads. This is something that has been such a huge need. The dads need to have a space like this as well.
So WELCOME also to the dads of the North County Umbrella Ministry.
Diane and her husband are two of the most loving and caring people you will ever know, and through the loss of their son John they have ministered to so many people with their caring and giving hearts. The two of them together are such a force.
They offer their beautiful home up every so many months for one of their BPP's and for those of you who don't know what that is, it stands for Bereaved Parent Party!!! Wait, what??? Parent's who have lost kids party?? It's true and Diane and Richard have made sure that it happens.
We know that after losing a child, especially at the very beginning even smiling is unimaginable, goodness even getting out of bed a lot of times is unimaginable but you will see grieving mama, your heart will heal in whatever timing is right for you and you will laugh again, you will climb out of bed, you will continue to show up for life and you will carry your child forever with you.
You just don't need to do it alone and that is why we are here!
If you know of a mom who has lost a child, please share this with her. We would love to get connected with as many moms as we can in the North County or to even help a mom who might live in a different area and we can get her connected with one of our other Umbrella chapters.
